Our People
Our success is built on the expertise and dedication of our people. With a large, experienced team, many of whom have been with the company for over two decades, we take pride in the skills and loyalty of our workforce. Currently, we have 60 full-time core employees, whose deep industry knowledge and commitment help us deliver top-quality results across a wide range of projects.
When our workload increases, we expand our team, bringing in additional labour crews that enable us to reach upwards of 100 staff. This flexibility allows us to manage even the most demanding projects without compromising on efficiency or safety.
We are also proud of the diverse makeup of our team, with a predominantly Tongan workforce, complemented by Samoan, Māori and other Pasifika employees. This cultural diversity enriches our work environment and strengthens the collaborative spirit and sense of community that defines our company.

Our Excavators
Our excavator fleet plays a vital role in the success of our mechanical demolition projects. After the initial manual work, our excavators take over as the unsung heroes of the demolition process.
Their power and precision are essential for efficiently clearing away debris, preparing sites for the next phase of development, and ensuring the highest safety standards during the final stages of demolition.
We maintain a robust fleet of 12 excavators, ranging from compact 1.5-tonne machines up to heavy-duty 30-tonne models. This variety allows us to handle a wide range of projects, from smaller, detailed demolitions to large-scale operations.
These versatile machines form the backbone of our operations, providing the strength and control needed to deliver safe and efficient outcomes on every site.
Our Heavy Vehicles
Our heavy vehicle fleet plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects, from start to finish. With 30 trucks of varying sizes and capacities, we have the ability to transport materials efficiently, regardless of the scope or complexity of the job.
Our fleet includes 4-wheelers, 6-wheelers, 8-wheelers, gantry trucks, hook bins, and articulated trucks, providing the versatility needed to manage demolition waste, transport equipment, and handle site logistics.
This diverse range of vehicles allows us to optimise our operations and respond quickly to changing site conditions. Whether it’s hauling debris from a small urban project or handling bulk material from a large industrial site, our heavy vehicle capabilities ensure that every job is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Our Mechanical Team
We pride ourselves on our dedicated mechanical team, which is comprised of three full-time mechanics and a workshop manager, skilled in welding and auto-electrical systems. Whether working on-site or in our workshop, they are dedicated to addressing any maintenance and repair issues that may arise with our vehicles.
Their expertise ensures quick resolutions to mechanical problems, significantly reducing downtime and keeping our projects on track. By maintaining our fleet in optimal condition, our mechanics enable us to deliver reliable and efficient service, ensuring that we meet our clients' needs without interruption.

Our Heights Access
At Henderson Demolition, we recognise that some of the most significant challenges occur above ground. To address these needs, we are equipped with a diverse range of heights equipment, including mobile scaffolding and various mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs).
Our fleet includes small to large all-terrain scissor lifts, allowing us to access even the most challenging areas safely and efficiently.
Our skilled team is trained in the erection of mobile scaffolding and the operation of scissor lifts and knuckleboom lifts. This expertise ensures we can tackle complex projects while prioritising safety and compliance with industry standards.

Our Storage & Disposal Bins
We offer a comprehensive range of waste skip bins designed to meet diverse project needs. Our collection includes bins ranging from 3 metres to an impressive 50 metres, ensuring we have the right size for any task, big or small.
We provide various options, including gantry bins, hook bins, and trailers, allowing for flexible waste management solutions tailored to your project requirements. Our skip bins are robust and durable, making them ideal for safely handling construction debris, recyclables, and other waste materials. With our reliable waste skip services, you can ensure efficient disposal and maintain a clean and organised worksite, all while adhering to environmental best practices.
